Chemistry · common notes

Independent Physical, Inorganic, and Organic pages built for JEE Advanced — 45–75s templates deepened for model choice, trend exceptions, and GOC-gated mechanisms. Each topic below is its own page — methods with impact copy, processed sample questions, and reusable question families.

Study path: open a topic page (not only the portion hub). Read official syllabus + trends (why it matters) → scan mixed joins → method impact → sample → question family. Formulas come last. Aim 45–75 seconds per stem.

How to use

Common practice principle

  1. 01
    Principle 1

Advanced Chemistry now integrates topics: thermo↔equilibrium, ionic↔electrochemistry, GOC↔mechanisms, coordination↔bonding logic. Train joins, not isolated chapters.

  2. 02
    Principle 2

Physical is a numerical machine; Inorganic is configuration-plus-exception logic grounded in NCERT facts; Organic is a mechanism machine. Keep styles separate, then practise deliberate joins.

  3. 03
    Principle 3

First 15 seconds name the family and every chapter the stem touches; the next 30–60 seconds only execute known templates. Write one-line reasons for every MC/MATCH statement.

  4. 04
    Principle 4

Open chapter topic pages for full methods, samples, and families — this hub is the routing layer.

Chemistry topic notes (complete)

Independent Physical, Inorganic, and Organic Chemistry pages with syllabus mapping, Advanced paper patterns, fast methods, processed samples, and question families for JEE Advanced 2027.

Physical · open a topic page

Mole Concept & Stoichiometry

Mole & Stoichiometry · independent page

Lock a basis, convert everything to moles or equivalents, identify the limiting event, and most mixed-composition or redox stems collapse in under 75 seconds.

Open Mole & Stoichiometry page →

Gaseous & Liquid States

Gases & Liquids · independent page

Identify ideal, mixture, kinetic-theory or real-gas mode in 12 seconds; then one state equation plus a physical limit check controls the stem.

Open Gases & Liquids page →

Atomic Structure

Atomic Structure · independent page

Separate hydrogen-like formulas from many-electron rules, then use quantum-number legality and energy ordering as fast option filters.

Open Atomic Structure page →

Chemical Bonding & Molecular Structure

Chemical Bonding · independent page

Count valence electrons, build domains or MO occupancy, then derive shape, polarity and magnetism instead of recalling isolated pictures.

Open Chemical Bonding page →

Chemical Thermodynamics

Thermodynamics · independent page

Declare system, sign convention and path/state-function status first; then energy, entropy and spontaneity questions become controlled balances.

Open Thermodynamics page →

Chemical Equilibrium

Chemical Equilibrium · independent page

Write the balanced equilibrium expression, compare Q with K, and solve one extent table—direction and composition stop being guesswork, including thermo–equilibrium joins.

Open Chemical Equilibrium page →

Ionic Equilibrium

Ionic Equilibrium · independent page

Do stoichiometric neutralisation first, equilibrium second; this ordering controls acids, buffers, hydrolysis, precipitation and Advanced joins with conductance/Nernst.

Open Ionic Equilibrium page →

Electrochemistry

Electrochemistry · independent page

Balance electrons, lock the cell reaction and Q, then Nernst, Faraday and conductance become controlled substitutions — including Advanced joins with Ksp and ionic equilibrium.

Open Electrochemistry page →

Chemical Kinetics

Kinetics · independent page

Infer order from evidence rather than coefficients, select the matching integrated law, and reserve mechanism claims for elementary steps.

Open Kinetics page →

Solid State, Solutions & Surface Chemistry

Solid, Solutions & Surface · independent page

Use unit-cell ownership, solvent chemical-potential lowering and surface coverage as three separate models; mixed statement sets then become fast audits.

Open Solid, Solutions & Surface page →

Inorganic · open a topic page

Periodicity & Chemical Trends

Periodicity · independent page

Replace memorised arrows with effective nuclear charge, shell number, shielding, configuration, and lattice/hydration arguments.

Open Periodicity page →

Hydrogen & s-Block

H + s-Block · independent page

Organise hydrogen and Groups 1–2 by structure, hydration/lattice balance, and Li/Be anomalies instead of disconnected facts.

Open H + s-Block page →

p-Block Elements (Groups 13–18)

p-Block · independent page

Use group oxidation-state logic and a small reaction bank to control the apparent factual load.

Open p-Block page →

d- and f-Block Elements

d/f-Block · independent page

Derive transition behaviour from d-electron count and master Cr/Mn chemistry through oxidation-state maps.

Open d/f-Block page →

Coordination Compounds

Coordination · independent page

Turn every complex into oxidation state, d count, geometry, ligand strength, isomer count, and magnetic moment — then audit each MC statement independently.

Open Coordination page →

Principles of Metallurgy

Metallurgy · independent page

Choose each operation from ore type, ΔG, electrode potential, and impurity—not from a memorised factory list.

Open Metallurgy page →

Qualitative Inorganic Analysis

Salt Analysis · independent page

Treat salt analysis as controlled Ksp, complexation, acid-base, and redox chemistry rather than a list of colours.

Open Salt Analysis page →

Environmental & Green Chemistry

Environment · independent page

Secure the page with one cause→chemistry→effect→control map and the core green-design principles.

Open Environment page →

Organic · open a topic page

General Organic Chemistry (GOC)

GOC · independent page

Track electron density and intermediate stability before memorising products; one effects ledger then controls most unfamiliar Organic Chemistry stems.

Open GOC page →

Hydrocarbons (Alkanes · Alkenes · Alkynes)

Hydrocarbons · independent page

Classify the hydrocarbon and reagent regime first; then conformation, radical selectivity or electrophilic addition follows a short decision path.

Open Hydrocarbons page →

Benzene & Haloarenes

Benzene & Haloarenes · independent page

Separate ring activation from orientation, then map the operative aromatic substitution mechanism before choosing a product.

Open Benzene & Haloarenes page →

Alkyl Halides, Alcohols & Ethers

Halides, Alcohols & Ethers · independent page

Classify substrate and conditions before choosing SN1, SN2, elimination or organomagnesium chemistry; product and stereochemical consequence then follow.

Open Halides, Alcohols & Ethers page →

Aldehydes & Ketones

Aldehydes & Ketones · independent page

Read the alpha-hydrogen status and reagent role first; nucleophilic addition, aldol, Cannizzaro or haloform then becomes predictable.

Open Aldehydes & Ketones page →

Carboxylic Acids & Derivatives

Carboxylic Acids · independent page

Compare carboxylate stability for acidity and use the acyl-derivative reactivity ladder for conversions; most sequences then need no isolated memorisation.

Open Carboxylic Acids page →

Amines & Diazonium Salts

Amines & Diazonium · independent page

Track lone-pair availability and nitrogen class first; basicity, Hinsberg, HNO₂ and diazonium outcomes then follow a stable decision tree.

Open Amines & Diazonium page →

Phenols

Phenols · independent page

Start from phenoxide resonance and ring activation; acidity orders, electrophilic substitution, Kolbe and Reimer–Tiemann products then share one map.

Open Phenols page →

Biomolecules, Polymers & Practical Organic

Biomolecules, Polymers & Practical · independent page

Classify the functional motif before recalling a fact: linkage, monomer functionality and selective-test observations organise this broad unit into short Advanced decision trees.

Open Biomolecules, Polymers & Practical page →
